After skipping 2014 entirely to reload in June 2015, Xerocon Denver was a highly anticipated event. This year is all about partnerships, innovation, and growth. During the keynotes and breakout sessions, speakers challenged the attendees to become more consultative and break out of the traditional mould of accounting. This was an important move for the Add-on community, empowering consultants to provide collaborative solutions for their clients.
Nowhere else was the partnership element in greater force than at Revolutionizing Retail with iOS 8 presented at Apple’s showcase booth. It was here that Deputy, Vend, and Xero presented their apps working in harmony. During these “day in the life” scenarios, we demonstrated how to use the Deputy app on the Apple Watch to find a replacement for an absent employee, then the Deputy Kiosk took center stage showing how people can clock in, manage tasks and view announcements. Later, we showed the power of dynamic employee scheduling using the live feed from Vend.
On the innovation front, several long-time partners noted the new version of Deputy being demoed on the Jumbotron. We were proud to introduce the latest version at Xerocon, which not only has a fresh new look, but has added some great new features such as the ability to upload documents and photos to the News Feed.
Growth is the last takeaway from the Rocky Mountain Air. The United States is trailing cloud adopters like Australia. It will be the forward thinking Accountants and Bookkeepers from Xerocon who will now bring this technology to their business clients here in the States. Of course, if you are already using Deputy then you are ahead of the technology curve. We want to help each and every one of these partners grow by sharing the power of Deputy that you are already harnessing. Perhaps you could chat with your Accountant and let them know about us.
